What is Draps?
Jersey's marketplace for pre-loved, new and remade clothing.
In Jèrriais, draps means fabrics or linens — the cloth and linen an island household could not afford to treat lightly. Clothing has always been part of the fabric of island life, handed down, mended and passed between neighbours.
Draps weaves that tradition into one trusted place where islanders give clothes a second life — worn, passed on, worn again.
Our story
Good clothes on the island end up binned or shipped away while new items are shipped in. A strange way to run a place this size — cloth worth too much to discard leaving by the boatload.
Draps keeps clothing circulating on-island. Founded by islanders for the community, it puts the island's cloth back through its own loom — every piece already exists here, is photographed here, and is collected in a parish or delivered island-wide.

03 — Marketplace Rules
The Draps Ten
These rules apply to everyone on Draps and form part of our Terms. Breaking them may lead to listings being removed or accounts being suspended or closed.

Be honest
Describe size, brand, material and condition accurately. Disclose all flaws, and use your own photographs of the actual item — no stock shots or brand campaign imagery.

Only sell what you own
List only clothing, footwear and accessories you hold in Jersey and have the right to sell. No dropshipping, no sourcing to order.
- 03
No counterfeits or replicas
Replicas, unauthorised reproductions and misrepresented labels are removed on sight and the account closed. Unsure of a piece? List it as unsigned.

Only list permitted items
Clothing, footwear and fashion accessories only. See Prohibited Items below for the full list of what cannot be sold on Draps.
- 05
Keep it clean and safe
No pests, mould, hazards or recalled items. Children's items must meet current safety standards.
- 06
Respect other members
No harassment, discrimination, threats or spam. Jersey is small — behave as though you will see each other again, because you will.
- 07
Agree terms clearly
Buyer and seller are responsible for agreeing price, payment method, delivery or collection, and any returns before completing a sale. Draps does not process, hold or guarantee payments.

Honour your commitments
Complete the sales you agree to and turn up to meet-ups on time. No-shows on agreed handovers cost you access to Draps.

Meet safely
Choose public, busy, well-lit places. Inspect items before you pay, and report anything suspicious.

One person, one genuine account
Accurate details, no fake or multiple accounts, no fake reviews, no impersonation.
- Counterfeits and unauthorised replicas
- Stolen goods
- Used underwear, socks or swimwear without hygiene liners (new with tags permitted)
- Unsafe, contaminated or recalled items
- Endangered-species or illegally sourced animal products
- Non-clothing goods — weapons, drugs, alcohol, tobacco and similar
- Offensive or extremist imagery
- Anything illegal in the Bailiwick of Jersey

Enforcement
Draps may remove listings, restrict features, suspend or close accounts at its discretion, and share information with the States of Jersey Police or authorities where required by law.

How can we help?
Draps is Jersey's marketplace for pre-loved, new and remade clothing — a trusted place for islanders to give clothes a second life. Anyone in Jersey can use it; under-18s need a parent or guardian's permission and should bring them to any meet-up.
Starting out is free — the free plan includes 5 live listings. Paid plans add more listings, monthly Bumps and extra profile features. See the Plans section above, and cancel anytime from Account Settings.
Message the seller and agree a price, payment and handover directly between you — by cash on collection, bank transfer or whatever suits you both. Draps never touches the money and is not a party to the sale.
Go to Sell an Item, add photographs of the actual piece and an honest description, and set your price in pounds. Shoot in natural light against a plain background, and show labels and any flaws plainly. Your listing appears in All Items within the hour.
DRAPS+ (£5/month) gives 20 live listings, one free Bump a month and the option to become a Verified Seller; DRAPS Pro (£10/month) gives unlimited listings and three Bumps. A Bump lifts one listing to the top of relevant results for 3 days; free Bumps reset monthly and don't roll over. Verification confirms identity only — not the quality of items or conduct.
Meet in public, busy, well-lit places in daylight, tell someone where you're going, and always inspect the item before paying. Be wary of pressure to act fast, links to outside sites, requests for deposits, and prices too good to be true. Report anything suspicious with the Report button or contact us.
Returns and refunds are agreed directly between buyer and seller — business sellers must follow Jersey consumer law. Draps can't issue refunds or enforce sales, but we will act on reports of rule breaches, scams or fraud. If you are ever in danger, call the States of Jersey Police on 999.
